"Give Proper recognition to those widows who are in need." — 1 Timothy 5:3

"The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and Continues night and day to pray to ask God for help." — 1 Timothy 5:5

We are all created by God in his image; therefore, none is lesser than another. We are here to reflect that and to bring glory to His creation. We are created to help one another in our times of need and show respect and love unconditionally.

We see families and children destroyed by people doing just the opposite of that. Women are being abused by their spouses and children are witnessing these tragic events, many of them having to suffer the wrath of anger and abuse as well. People in their brokenness are unfit to love or parent, are trying to do exactly that without success.

We see women and children left with nothing after the loss of a spouse, forced to fend for themselves in a time of loss and extreme need. Having to provide for a home and family with no time to grieve.

Respite With Restoration

It is our goal at House of Nicolaou to provide respite with restoration. We believe every person is a living soul created perfectly with a purpose. We believe that until there is healing and restoration, no person can truly understand their purpose and are not living up to their full potential.

When a person is abusive to another, a piece of them is stolen and replaced with pain and despair. To be beat or harm another in any way is the ultimate offense to God and what He has created to reflect perfection. Thus, said that offense is a direct assault to God himself. This is what we all are, created in Gods perfection, there are no mistakes made by Him.

Think of this, when these victims leave this situation, they are imprinted with this treatment and it is deemed "normal" to them, therefore what we know to be, we repeat. Thus, causing a cycle of abuse, and "abuse" comes in many different forms.

The action of what someone has been imprinted with carries out in all ways of daily life. It is passed on to children, other family members, loved ones, friends, and is also carried out in the workplace. A person who has had an abusive childhood, usually so broken from within, sees themselves not as they should be seen, but is reminded every time they look in the mirror of who they were...
